Homecoming Dance

Mary posing as a Bouncer at the Homecoming Dance. It was glow sticks, strobe lights, glow paint, DJ's, dancing, food and fun. The Rave theme allowed for a variety of dress (not just formal) and minimum work on decorations. Mary was a bouncer then was in charge of keeping the energy and hype going. This is her specialty and says it was the best homecoming she has ever been too. Funny thing is not many actually knew what a homecoming was. One mother there with me helping with refreshments was brave enough to ask me...."what is homecoming anyway?" It is definitely an American high school tradition... and this one was planned not leading up to any sporting event and had no mention of Alumni returning. Just American kids trying to experience a little bit of normalcy in an international environment. Not to mention a good excuse to get a bunch of them together to dance and have fun!
