Touring DC in the snow and good byes.

We walked by the Washington Monument to get to the Holocaust Museum.
Then after took a driving tour to see the Capital,
The White House
Iwo Jima

And the USAF Memorial
This was as view of the city from the AF Memorial. We had a really nice afternoon touring Thanks Grammy for staying home with the two younger. The museum would have been too much for them.

That night we all went out to dinner. We were so sad to see them go. I think they all enjoyed their visit. I know we enjoyed their company. But on the otherhand they left just in time. We had no idea what snow storm was just ahead, they could have been stuck here for weeks. (and Grammy and GGma really don't care for the snow!)

DC Day

We took a trip to the American History Museum. We saw the American flag, the ruby slippers from Oz, Kermit the frog, Lincoln's hat and the boys even got to give a presidential speech.

DC panaroma

This one was fun although the pieces were not interlocking and
had some challenges as far as different shapes.
More worked on it than are in the picture... and we obviously conquered in the end!

Ladybugs

We had a lot working on this one and we needed it. It was hard.

Similiar to the one we did over Thanksgiving it was tough!

This is Ggma. She will be 91 in March.
These are 12 of her 31 great grandchildren!
BTW, she is a great puzzler! So glad she was here with us this week!
And I think she really enjoyed herself, snow and all!

Birthday Dinner at the Melting Pot

We had given her for her birthday a gift certificate for this restaurant. It is a yummy place but quite expensive so we took her out for a special dinner alone. It was a really nice time!

Good times... good byes...Indiana

It was a fun week... papa taught M how to drive, S and R got to spend a night over at their cousin Nicolaas's house and C and J got to go to the movie with Sierra and Keifer. We watched movies and enjoyed lunch out, adults only. I think the highlight was Granny Jo's Christmas tree quiz!!! We can't wait to visit with you all again.
