What grown men will do...
What a man will do in exchange for an afternoon of golf! He not only cleaned this one but two more... yes a total of 3!
And what a good example to his son, who is following right along in his footsteps (and in more ways than being a National Jr Honor Society Member)! S vacuumed the hallway, the family room and then cleaned the grime off all the light switches, door handles and the hand rail up the stairs case!
In all honesty... this husband has done more toilets than I can admit too and BTW he cooks too!! He also maintains my car and comes home from work ever day without a complaint!! I don't know how I am so fortunate. And I couldn't keep my sanity without him. Thanks dear handsome husband!!
Lastly, today was the day I ran across how to put links on my blog... so check out the May 13th blog as I got those fixed!!

Adding upper body to the daily workout routine
Yes, I thought I needed to do something about these flabby arms. So I thought I would add an upper body portion to the "daily workout routine". Honestly, it is more work than you think. Especially after you strip 7 beds (2 of them queen size, to include our guest bed), haul them all to the laundry room, drag them outside and then hoist them up onto the clothesline. I was feeling it and not only in my biceps! But I love the fact that this house has a clothes line! This is the first time in our married life I have had the luxury of the fresh outdoor smell in our sheets. As you might know there is nothing like it! And it can't be found it in a bottle of detergent or softener!
You can see the work we have (and have not done) on our garden in this picture too. And since this is such a lovely pic I will post a better one from our trip to Holland a few weeks ago in April with mom and dad. More of these to come! Yes those are real tulips and they were the biggest I have ever seen.
Gotta run. I am in a race with the sunshine. After about 10 days of sun the farmers tell us the rain is coming, starting tonight.

Yesterday I spent my blog time trying to edit/correct my last blog... but never figured it out so I'm moving on. Will learn as I go.
But Yesterday was also a German holiday and I took the three younger kids to a Natural Swimming Pool. The link doesn't show much but here it is anyway, we'll see if it works. http://www.naturerlebnisbad-landstuhl.de/index.html
This is a beautiful place and I think we will get a family season pass and spend our summer here! It has a nice slide, a gentle sloping shallow areas, a dive and deeper area. And lots of trees and grass to sit and enjoy! Clara was in the water the entire time (and it was cold!) John enjoyed it but got cold and sat with me in the sun a little to warm up. He most enjoyed playing in the pebbles. Reuben was done after about 20 mins but then got busy with the rocks too. Boys and rocks ... go figure! I'll take the camera next time we go and get a few pics so you can see how beautiful it is!
As for edits of my first blog we did not go to Potsdam... we went to Potzsberg-Term (Tower). Here is a link to a panoramic from the top of the tower. There is a Wildpark (like a zoo) there too but we did not take the time this trip to go. It is only about 30 mins away... so maybe another time.

Just getting started ... Mother's Day
Sorry for the messy post here... I'm just getting started.
And running out of time today... so the first pic is the tower we climbed for Mother's Day. The second is from the top. Lastly, while hiking around we heard a woodpecker, went looking for it and found it.
Today for Mother's Day we went to Potsdam where there is a "tower" with a wonderful view. The lady I found to cut my hair told me about it and that her grandfather helped build it years ago. Mary counted 184 steps and Clara counted 161 so I am sure it is somewhere in between those numbers to the top! Joey didn't want to go up cause he doesn't like heights and he wasn't so sure we should be going up. It wasn't very "welcoming" with dust and cobwebs at the doorway but the door was open and the instructions my hairdresser had given me were that we could climb to the top no charge. The kids loved the adventure cause we really had no idea what to expect at the top. The view was wonderful!!
