Well I am sure now we have tempted or possibly even angered the moving gods!! It just kinda crept up on us ... and it all started with shampoo! Do you realize how many hair types you can have under one roof!? Even if it is all the same color! We have 6 (and that doesn't include the dog)! And then when you all run out of shampoo at the same time.... ugh!! It gets expensive... so I feel like at least for what it all cost I bought at least a year's supply! Then the wood... well, we bought enough wood for the whole winter! Then C's braces... or rather orthodontic work. She doesn't get braces but we do start
orthodontics next week. I signed an 18 month "contract". Then, well, of course M auditions for a play which opening night is not until April 24... boy that is a long time to rehearse really! Anyway, she in on the cast! Not sure which role yet until the first practice (which is all really different from any other production she has been in, but all is good!) Then S and R come home elated they were both selected Patrol Leaders in their Boy Scout troop! Wow, have we been here that long and become so established that such a thing could occur! And then there is just the fact that all is settled and feeling really comfortable. I love the teachers, schools, and activities all the kids are in! I love my house, neighborhood and neighbors! I so enjoy our worship service at the
Ramstein Chapel, and the new Chaplain!! I have actually added on a few extra
commitments for the year myself (Cross Country Team Mom, Math Counts Mom,
Fundraiser Chair for Boy Scouts). And now I have this uneasy feeling. Change is in the air ... and I realize we have really planted some roots... how could this happen? We know better. What
sacrifices must I make to the gods ...maybe a heart felt apology and repentance would do the trick! Perhaps some purging of drawers and cabinets and sorting of closets. Oh my, it just hit me, my pantry is way too full!! Did I just buy a whole 5 pounds of flour! And I don't even want to think about the freezer! Oh my we're headed out soon for sure! We've really done it now!
Seriously, we don't believe in the moving gods (and I
have been reading Francine Rivers...books I do really recommend... historical fiction... and I think reading of the gods and even visiting Athens and Ephesus this summer has brought this little moving gods blog on) but it is fall... and change is in the air, and it is after a "non- moving summer"... so our minds do start to wonder... what it next?... when is next?... next summer we should move... but where? Can't we stay here? So I ask that you pray with us to the one true God, our Heavenly Father, to guide us and make our path straight. He has been so faithful to us. We have seen him work many miracles in our lives and especially in J's career and places it has taken us! Also, pray that we will live with peace, in the here and now, and not in the what might come... or where we might go next! Thanks!
Just had to include the silly picture below! Our shower floor...

Let's see, we have (and in no particular order here!) one normal, one thick and straight-a little dry, one old and graying(or I should say dry and thinning), one with dandruff, one thick and wavy- dry - but no dandruff!, one thin and a little oily, and one still baby fine (J and the dog actually do share the baby shampoo!). Wait a minute that is not six, that is seven... someone is washing with the wrong shampoo! I think it is the normal guy... he just grabs whatever.
Now if you really have time to blow you can guess whose got which!
